My internship at Katrium was a rewarding experience. An internship marks an exciting milestone in every student’s academic journey. I am not an exception to this. In this article, I will share my journey at Katrium – the experiences I gained, the valuable lessons I learned, and the most important parts of my personal and professional development I achieved along the way. This opportunity allowed me to apply my knowledge in the real world, and it has strengthened my confidence and inspired me to continue striving toward my future goals.
Discovering Katrium
To find a company for your Erasmus internship, you should do really good research. This is what I did as well! It took a while to find this company, but I am very happy with the result! I was looking for companies that specialize in international business markets. I liked Katrium immediately because of its global presence and reputation for delivering high-quality solutions to clients across various industries. I decided to apply because I believed my internship at Katrium would provide valuable insights into how businesses operate on a global scale, ultimately supporting both my personal growth and future career aspirations.
Lessons I’ll Take Forward From My Internship at Katrium
During my internship at Katrium, I had the opportunity to focus on the marketing side, where I was actively involved in writing blogs and creating LinkedIn posts. This experience taught me how to communicate ideas in a good and engaging way while tailoring content to B2B audiences. I learned the importance of a consistent brand image and how digital marketing can help a company reach more people and build trust. Along with improving my writing skills, I also learned how to use LinkedIn effectively to connect with professionals and my target group. These lessons have given me a solid foundation for my future career.
Remote – not remote
My internship at Katrium was a blend of both on-site and remote experiences. I chose to spend the first month on-site because I wanted to meet new people, find friends, and explore Tallinn, and it turned out to be the nicest experience. I met friendly colleagues and had the chance to get to know the city. The other two months, I continued my internship remotely from home, which taught me how to manage my time effectively and stay productive. Since I usually worked alone, that was the most important part! Overall, this combination gave me the best of both worlds: the personal connections and the best on-site internship, along with the flexibility and self-discipline of remote work.
Conclusion
My internship at Katrium has been an incredibly rewarding journey, combining learning, personal growth, and professional development. From discovering the company and applying for the position, to gaining a nice experience in marketing and navigating both on-site and remote work. I not only enhanced my skills in communication, content creation, and digital marketing but also developed greater confidence, independence, and adaptability, qualities that will serve me well in any future career path. Looking back, I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of Katrium, and I leave this experience with knowledge, memories, and connections that will continue to inspire and guide me in the years to come.
