As a business student, I wanted my internship to give me something that University courses cannot fully provide which are: practical experience, real tasks and real responsibility. During my internship, I understood why advanced practical training is an important part of our curriculum.

Finding Katrium and my reasons for applying

As I was actively searching for a place to complete my internship, I found Katrium on LinkedIn. I also read articles written by previous interns, which made me more interested in the opportunity. I liked that the internship was remote and the interns could gain experience in different areas, such as research, SEO content writing and HR. The flexibility was also important to me because it helped me manage the internship alongside my busy schedule.

To my surprise, I received a response quite quickly. I was asked to complete a few small tasks, and after Katrium reviewed them, I was onboarded. I was curious about how an international company operates. I hoped the internship would give me new experiences, more responsibility and the opportunity to learn as much as possible.

What I learned

Before starting my internship, I did not know much about search engine optimization (SEO) or SEO content writing. However, as I started writing SEO contents and doing more research, I learned how to produce more professional online content. I also received feedback on my writing, which helped me recognize my mistakes and improve my writing skills.

I also learned a lot about HR and realized that the recruitment process is not simply about finding the right person with the right skills. It is also about communicating with candidates properly. Candidates often have questions about projects, working hours, payment contracts or the recruitment process. I learned how important it is to provide information clearly and professionally while also paying attention to the individual situation of each candidate.

I also became more confident in handling HR information and organizing candidate data. Working with many applicants taught me to pay attention to details and keep information structured and up to date.

My experience Working Remotely

Before this internship, I already knew that flexibility was important to me. Katrium gave me practical experience of what working remote work requires. I learned how to manage my own time, work independently, and communicate effectively in a remote environment.

Every week, our team came together to discuss our results, new goals and how we could improve. Even though we were all working remotely, these meetings helped us connect as a team.

What I take with me from this Internship

My internship at Katrium gave me practical experience that I can use in my studies and future positions. I improved my professional communication and recruitment skills and learned to work more independently and take responsibility for different tasks.

I hope I will be remembered at Katrium as someone hardworking, reliable, and willing to help when something needs to be done.

I would especially recommend this internship to business students and international students who want practical experience in an international and remote working environment. I would also recommend it to students with busy schedules who need flexibility but still want to gain professional experience in different tasks.
